If you are interested in leading a program or have a group that you would like to bring to the
island, please contact the program director to discuss options before filling out an application.

Application information

Please write a paragraph or two explaining the reason for your interest in spending a week on
Mallard Island. Include reasons why your summer 2008 experience will be enhanced by Mallard Island and its location or history, and any general experience you have in living in simple or rustic conditions. Include a statement about why this week of creativity, solitude, or respite is especially important in your life this year.

A caretaker will be present during your stay. A typical week begins on Sunday at 3 p.m. at
Bald Rock Dock and ends by noon the following Saturday. Exceptions may be made but
must be discussed in advance. Safe parking is available at the dock for $3 per night, payable
upon leaving.

Cost for an individual week is $150 per person. The fee for the photography workshop is $500. Your
labor is considered your contribution for the work weeks.
